This card induces a lot of salt because of how efficiently it can win, and with such a tight win line

It doesnt synergize well with Sagas, making it much closer to half of Tooth and Nail with the option to dig for cards upfront instead of the option to search your library for the exact cards you need

Dualcaster Mage further benefits from a whole host of spells such as Twinflame, Ghostly Flicker, and Molten Duplication that can allow it to create infinite mana, infinite ETBs, or infinite copies of itself with haste in order to win the game

Pretty much only finds utility creatures until the late-game
