To this day, fans of this cult hit hope that one day Konami will release a true sequel to the game that utilizes the intuitive gameplay mechanics of the original title that was released almost 25 years ago

The downside is that these events arent (always) free

It'll be interesting to see if there are any plans to followup with additional retro cards in the future (with Team Rocket, Fossil, and Jungle sets immediately coming to mind), but for now fans can rest easy knowing that they're able to revisit a number of prominent cards that they once collected

I am going to mention a ridiculously undervalued card that really seems like it should've been a named legendary creature: Falkenrath Aristocrat
