This, in turn, makes it far easier to find more cards that fit your gameplan

Darksteel Mutation is an exception to this rule since it blanks the creature, and it's one of the few ways to render a commander useless: Since the creature is still on the field, an enchanted commander won't go back to the command zone

Lands have only gotten better since then, especially in a format where one of the most universally understood Rule 0 expectations is that mass land destruction is a non-starter
